The Diaper Brigade was founded in August of 2021 by Grace Cheifetz, with her younger sister, Ellie Cheifetz, supporting diaper drives and marketing campaigns and taking the reins as the nonprofit lead in 2025 to continue to grow the organization and expand the diaper drives. Together, our mission has always been simple - collect surplus diapers (or donations) from within the community, and redirect them to families in need.
Our focus is simple - support women and families in our community that cannot afford diapers, which are expensive and not accessible through traditional assistance programs. A full day of diapers is required at most child care facilities and struggling families - particularly women - often have to prioritize other basic needs over diapers, which can also create a barrier to work. Research also shows that many families stretch diapers, creating less-than-ideal situations, leading to rashes and uncomfortable babies which often raises stress and can lead to domestic tensions - or worse.
We are teenagers that partner with faith-based organizations, schools, social networks, and other community organizations to help amplify our message to support our cause. As we receive donations, we distribute them to families and organizations that support with under-served communities. We have partnered with the Mitzvah Circle as well as multiple collaborations with The Food Pantry of Camden County.

Thanks to the support from local businesses, day cares, and religious centers, the Diaper Brigade has managed to donate about 60,000 diapers to those in need. Help us to help others!
